The Communities We Will Visit
We will be welcomed by these wonderful communities

Jana – Giardino del Sole
Jana is a place of prayer, peace and introspection, immersed in nature and knowledge.

L’Alluce Verde
L’Alluce Verde Odv is more than an association: it is a meeting point, a place open to nature, culture and people.

Meraki
Meraki Ecovillage is a place of connection, harmony and sustainability, surrounded by nature and the shared pulse of those who choose to live in sync with their heart.

Albero della vita
Albero della Vita Ecovillage, located in the heart of the Bolognese Apennines in Camugnano, is a holistic community founded in 2017 by Antonio D’Elia.

Nabhi – Centro della Terra
Founded as a reality dedicated to yoga and soul searching, Nabhi is a place that invites the exploration of presence and silence.

Valley of the Elves
The Valley of the Elves is inhabited by people who have the courage, audacity, folly and creativity to have settled in houses, farmsteads and hamlets that have been abandoned for decades, perhaps even longer.

CiriceA
CiriceA, a jewel set in the heart of the Apennines. A community that captivated us with contagious joy, populated by young and old alike.

Avalon
Avalon is another magical piece of land inhabited by the Elves. The landscape is quite different from the mountain valleys where they first settled.
The Walk: from Emilia Romagna to Tuscany
A journey through the lands of the Apennines, among intentional communities and ecovillages, to discover authentic ways of living in harmony with nature. “Silent Steps among the Ecovillages and Communities of the Apennines” is more than a journey: it is an experience of listening, silence and immersion in vibrant and welcoming alternative realities.
We start at Jana, a place filled with welcoming and shamanic vibes, then on to Alluce Verde, an oasis of comfort that lives in relationship with local communities. We continue to Meraki, vibrant and structured, where facilitation and playfulness weave together the talents of individuals; Albero della Vita, which has made self-sufficiency and personal growth its main goals; and Nabhi, a spiritual community surrounded by greenery, where contact with nature and meditation come together in a profound experience.

Flowing water accompanies us along the trail, until the landscape becomes wilder: we enter the Valley of the Elves, in an environment enveloped by the breath of the forest, amidst the singing of birds and the sound of streams. From here the path leads us to CiriceA, witness of resiliency, and then to Avalon, an Elven settlement nestled among olive trees, where community life blends with ancient wisdom and a deep sense of freedom.
We will meet different realities, each with its own character, history, and unique ways of sharing. Step by step, the walk becomes a bridge between communities and wayfarers. In silence we listen to our bodies, the breath of the earth and the energy of those who have chosen to build new ways of inhabiting the world. “Silent Steps” is a transformative experience, a journey within and without, where each encounter becomes an opportunity for growth and inspiration.

How will we prepare for the journey?
Enjoy the experience with maximum lightness!
We will be supported by a support van in which we can load any tents and what we will not need during the single day’s walk.
During the walks we will use small backpacks to carry the food we will need during the day, which will be prepared by the communities that will host us.
We will travel along hiking trails (difficulty E) and short stretches on roads with mixed traffic. Given the length of the routes, adequate physical preparation is required to sustain a pace of 3 km per hour.
